Tall and lanky, Jaydra's maned wolf species means she towers over her canine peers, with long, jet-black legs holding up her limber, angular frame. She stands at a whopping thirty-five inches tall, whilst only weighing about fifty-five pounds, making her build rather delicate and fragile. Jaydra's body is built for speed, agility, and stamina, though she packs more power than one might realise, at least for such a lightweight.Every feature of theirs is almost comically exaggerated, from their arching back to their huge, rounded ears. Short russet fur intermingled with patches of occasional patches of sable and off-white give her an almost fox-like appearance. Her fur is longer and ruffled along the back of her neck, creating their iconic 'mane', which is more like a miniature mohawk. Another unusual feature is their eyes - atypical from the usual dark hue of her species, Jaydra's eyes shimmer a brilliant violet hue.

BUT I'LL KNOW,
I'LL KNOW.

Maned wolves are known for being timid creatures, but this is not the first impression one would garner upon meeting Jaydra. Though she does tend be rather reserved and private, to the point of being a total mystery, she quickly becomes outspoken and opinionated in the presence of shyer or weaker personalities. However, around those who are more boisterous or energetic than them, Jaydra quickly becomes drained, and a low social battery is one of the quickest ways for her characteristic short temper to flare.Jaydra can be very sweet and patient, or she can be incredibly irritable and rude, depending on the company. If provoked, Jaydra can even be rather violent, though she fears pain and thus generally prefers to exert this energy through spars rather than real fights. Unless, that is, there is something to gain - Jaydra is greedy and selfish, and despite her awkward personality, loves being in charge. Therefore, challenging a higher-ranking wolf is certainly not out of the question, if their job title sounds more appealing to her.

Likes
⤜ Running, sparring, adrenaline.
⤜ Flowers, sunsets, collecting pretty things, autumn leaves.
⤜ Her alone time and space.
Dislikes
⤜ Insects, arachnids - she's embarrassingly phobic.
⤜ Rain, getting wet, muddy, or dirty.
⤜ Overly talkative or hyper-social wolves.

Strengths
⤜ Quick-footed, and equally quick-witted.
⤜ Intelligent and knowledgeable; they are a quick learner.
⤜ Creative, innovative, and resourceful.
Weaknesses
⤜ Physically easy to shove about, due to their limber frame and light weight.
⤜ Awkward, aloof, and introverted - they are an outcast by nature, and their odd appearance doesn't help; but, they are slowly opening up and learning to be more confident and leader-like.
Biggest Flaw
⤜ Jaydra struggles with her self-esteem and feelings of loneliness, so despite her adamant independence, the maned wolf truly desires genuine affection and real companionship. However, she is self-destructive and anxious, so her volatile emotions tend to push others away and destroy the relationships that mean most to her.

i'm leaving phil, i'm leaving now
i'm going to escape, but you won't know how
or where to find me when i'm gone

Jaydra was born an only pup, to mother Kismet and father Sylver, both of whom were also maned wolves. Though Jaydra had a relatively calm and happy puphood, her parents did not understand her in the ways she wanted them to. Therefore, she felt isolated, and not as close to her parents as she wanted to be, despite how much she loved them. It was just the three of them for a very long time, so Jaydra did not fully learn the social skills required to live in a pack until she was forced to.Maned wolves are solitary, and as such, when Jaydra was two years old, they were cast out of their family's territory to fend for themselves. It was easier than expected to adapt to this massive change, and as the days went by, Jaydra found herself missing her parents less and less, until eventually, she stopped wondering about their wellbeing altogether. They had taught her well, clearly, as she was surviving just fine on her own. However, Jaydra found themselves feeling more unsatisfied with her life with every day that passed. They figured it was because they were lonely; they'd never had any true friends before. And thus, Jaydra found themselves wandering into Silent Oak territory, and bowing before their leader. It was there she learned the true secrets to hunting, and finally found her talent, and her purpose for living. She proved herself to be a fantastic hunter, and progressed to the rank of Trapper. Now, Jaydra realises how much she likes being at the top of the pack, and aspires one day to provide more love and usefulness to the wolves around her than she could ever provide herself.
